The place is ideal for those who want to escape from the city’s dungeon and relax in a tranquil environment but also for those who love boating, fishing and sailing with small boats, exploring the enchanting beaches and the countless bays of the island.
During your visit to Skopelos, you can choose from a variety of activities such as water sports, scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, cycling, sailing and sea excursions to nearby destinations.
Visit the chapel of Mamma Mia, Agios Ioannis, just 7 km from Diamond Villas, which is on a rock of 100 meters, surrounded by the sea. In this idyllic setting, the sensational scene with “Donna and Sam” was shot and they play the unforgettable “The Winner Takes It All”.
One of the major sights of the island is the medieval castle built on the ruins of the ancient capital, the house-museum of the writer Pavlos Nirvanas, the Folklore Museum in Chora with a collection of traditional costumes and hand-crafted models of old ships and finally the Sentoukia, tombs on Mount Karya from the late Roman period. Spoon sweets are another strong point of local cuisine, with the most popular “egg” made from a variety of plums thriving in the area.
Tavernas and restaurants for all tastes, you will find plenty, both in Chora and in individual villages. For the younger age, there are no night shops that promise magical night cocktail evenings under the moonlight.
